Did you know……
THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD COOK ON THE GRILL
With summer just around the corner it's time to get outside and start grilling again. Here are a few things you can try at your next cookout to liven up any meal.
- Stone fruits such as nectarines, peaches and plums. Slice them in half, remove the pit, and brush them with olive oil. The heat brings out the natural sugars which caramelizes the flavor.
- Watermelon. Brush with olive oil and grill over high heat until grill marks appear and the melon is slightly softened. Add a little salt and pepper and the watermelon takes on a unique flavor.
- Pizza. Rub the grill grates first with vegetable oil and place the rolled out pizza dough directly on the grill. Cook 2-3 minutes and then flip. Add sauce cheese and toppings and close the lid for 2-3 more minutes. Remove and slice and serve.
- Pound cake. Heat the grill to medium and spread melted butter on the cake. Grill them 3-4 minutes until crispy. Try serving them with grilled fruit and ice cream
HAPPY GRILLING!
